Students Change Hunger Food Drive!
A.J. Perri is proud to sponsor the Students Change Hunger initiative this holiday season. Students Change Hunger is a Monmouth and Ocean Counties competition where schools and youth organizations hold fundraisers and food drives to collect food for their local food bank. This year’s Student Change Hunger Initiative will run from September 9, 2024, through January 27, 2025. Last year’s event raised over $37,000 and brought in 51,517 pounds of food. 2024 St. Jude Radiothon!
We are thrilled to announce that the 2024 St. Jude Radiothon, held on April 11th and 12th, was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $214,812 to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These funds will go directly to helping children and their families receive life-saving treatments at no cost to them.
Throughout the event, listeners from across the region tuned in to Thunder 106 and made pledges to support this incredible cause. Your contributions will help fund critical research and treatment programs that provide hope for children battling serious illnesses.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped spread the word. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact on the lives of children and families who need it most.

A.J. Perri Cares And METUS C.A.R.E.S. CASE STUDY
A.J. Perri, a family-owned HVAC company in Freehold, N.J., partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) through their C.A.R.E.S. program to provide a ductless mini-split HVAC system for a military family living in a historic home. The project addressed the challenge of heating and cooling the home's third floor, which previously lacked ductwork and relied on an inefficient steam boiler. Using Mitsubishi Electric's hyper-heating technology, the installation ensured efficient, year-round comfort in hard-to-reach spaces. This initiative marked A.J. Perri's first collaboration with METUS, underscoring their commitment to community service and innovative HVAC solutions.

A.J. Perri Cares
Last fall, A.J. Perri and Thunder 106 teamed up to say thank you to local veterans through its annual A.J. Perri Cares contest. After the nominations were received and finalist voting ended, Chris Poss of Beachwood was selected as the winner of a home services makeover. Poss was nominated to win a new HVAC system as part of A.J. Perri Cares, which recognizes community members making a positive difference in the lives of those around them. Chris and his wife are both police officers and dedicate their love, time, and energy assisting the communities in which they serve. A.J. Perri is proud to honor first responders, active military, and veterans in this annual program.
