A Look Back to 2024: AJ Perri Reflects on a Successful Year

Ferris Bueller was right when he quipped, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
And boy, did 2024 move fast for the team at A.J. Perri! Fortunately, like Ferris, we took time to “look around” and worked hard to avoid missing opportunities in 2024.
While we didn’t catch any foul balls at a Cubs game or sing on a float during a Chicago parade, we did accomplish some incredible feats—and we’re incredibly proud of the year we left behind. In addition to being there for our customers when they needed heating system repairs and emergency plumbing service, we regularly supported our community when they needed help.
Here are four highlights from 2024 that we look back on with pride.
Students Change Hunger
At the start of January 2024, A.J. Perri was pleased to sponsor the Students Change Hunger Competition. The program, which is held in Monmouth and Ocean Counties and runs through January 27, is a competition for youth to see who can raise the most money for their local food bank. A.J. Perri was proud to support kids helping kids! So far, the Student Change Hunger project has raised nearly 35,000 pounds of food and over $5,500! This equates to roughly 45,000 meals.
SAVEGREEN® Awards
At the end of 2024, A.J. Perri was awarded certificates by SAVEGREEN® for our efforts in promoting energy-efficient solutions. We were awarded the following:
- Certificate of Appreciation: Most Completed Projects
- Certificate of Appreciation: Most Energy (Therm) Savings
The SAVEGREEN® award, presented by New Jersey Natural Gas, recognizes companies that make superior efforts to promote energy-efficient solutions and help customers save money and energy.
We are very proud of these recognitions, as we work hard to improve the energy efficiency of all our neighbors and customers!
A.J. Perri Cares Program
In December, as part of our A.J. Perri Cares program, we installed a free HVAC system for a worthy community hero who was nominated by his neighbors. A.J. Perri was thrilled to reward Beachwood community police officer Chris Poss with a new HVAC system and installed it at no cost. In addition, we also gifted two other runners-up with $250 in Home Depot gift cards.
There’s nothing more fulfilling than giving back—especially during the holiday season!
AJ Perri Cares & METUS Cares
The A.J. Perri Cares program partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) to upgrade a deserving community member’s home heating system. A Mitsubishi MXZ-C multi-zone ductless mini-split heat pump was selected for the winner’s home project and donated to A.J. Perri as part of the METUS Community Awareness Reward Enablement System (C.A.R.E.S.) program. It was the first time A.J. Perri partnered with METUS to offer services and community support.
Looking Forward to a Promising 2025
As we reflect on 2024, we are super proud of our team’s participation in these New Jersey community efforts and glad we could support our neighbors in 2024. And we have YOU, our loyal customers, to thank. Without your business, we wouldn’t be able to successfully support these worthy programs and important causes.
